My friend and amazingly talented musician and singer-songwriter Minda Lacy (patreon.com/mindalacy) swooped in on a motorcycle to a local bookstore/coffee shop and carried me on its back to her musical lair and we recorded this trippy synth & poetry mixture, then joined by Luke Anthony (instagram.com/lukeanthonyharmonica), an incredible harmonica player, who added harmonica and recorder tracks to our experiment. Here’s the result. Hope you enjoy. May the weirdness reign!

before the sun rises

out there, a spring,
certain and locomotive,
claiming all of things. here,
a stove bloomed dinner,
its microclimate warm.
how thin the walls of
us at night, how
impenetrable
they are in
daylight.
consider
distance then,
consider all of time
elapsing over our skin,
consider tips of fingers
traversing our rapid atoms,
velocities adjusted to fit
just so, consider such
incalculable breaths
suspended briefly,
consider our
collisions.
marvels.
comforts.
butterflies.
then, we are
gone, then, we

what did we forget
to write with our
